The site www.jyjones.com is about the acitvities and interests of J.Y. Jones. J.Y. is the author of six books from Safari Press (www.safaripress.com), including one that is still in press ( Ask the Grizzly and Brown Bear Guides ). The first one of these is One Man, One Rifle, One Land, which is in its second printing, and is the definitive, authoritative source for information on North American big game hunting. The Ask the Guides series is the most successful series of books on North American hunting ever published by Safari Press, and includes Ask the Elk Guides, Ask the Whitetail Guides, Ask the Black Bear Guides, and Ask the Mule Deer Guides. He has two more books being considered by Safari Press for publication. J.Y.'s other outdoorsman books include Impossible to Fail, which is the story of his involvement in the initiative that resulted in legalization of polar bear trophy imports from Canada in 1994. J.Y. has writtten three novels (one not yet published), with two of them available from www.booklocker.com (Hoy Publications). He has a major book about how the animal rights movement is foreign to the Bible ( Worship Not the Creature: Animal Rights and the Bible ) now available from Nordskog Publishing (www.nordskogpublishing.com). Many believe this book has potential to reach far beyond the outdoors market and perhaps reach best-seller status. J.Y. is a medical doctor and a board-certified eye surgeon who has done over 15,000 cataract operations, and he regularly goes on mission eye surgery trips overseas, primarily to Honduras. He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Russian. He is active in numerous hunting and conservation organizations, particularly Safari Club International, where he served on the SCI Board for fifteen years, and with Ovis/Grand Slam and the National Rifle Association. He is a life member of all these organizations. J.Y. Jones's biggest passion in life is the Lord Jesus Christ, and all his books and speaking engagements reflect this life theme in some way.
